Seolhee (Snow) Kim

Seolhee (Snow) Kim holds both a B.M. in composition and a B.A. in art history from Ewha Women’s University in South Korea. After finishing her in M.A. in library science she worked as an art librarian but, finding herself missing music and wanting to devote herself fully to composition, Ms. Kim rebuilt her career, earning her M.M. in composition from Binghamton University, where she studied with Daniel Thomas Davis, and violin with Roberta Crawford. Since them, she has enjoyed collaborating with other artists in musical as well as other fields. Ms. Kim’s composition is focused on representing the inspiration found in art, nature, human life, and the world we are living in. Her music has been performed by Contemporaneous, Finger Lakes Chamber Ensemble, ModernMedieval, the Momenta Quartet, Opera Elect, Andrew Fuchs, and Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, and at the LunArt Festival. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at the University of Kansas.
