Noam Ginsparg, 19, is a student in the cello studio of Hans Jorgen Jensen at Bienen School of music and a math/CS student at Weinberg College, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.
As a high school student at the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, Noam participated in school ensembles on weekdays and spent weekends at the Juilliard School Pre-College Program, where he studied cello performance with Richard Aaron and also studied composition.
Noam is an alumnus of the Perlman Music Program, Meadowmount Music School, Kinhaven and Greenwood Junior programs, as well as Bowdoin and Sewanee Summer Music Festivals.
An avid composer, Noam was a 2014 and 2015 New York State (NYSSMA) winner for piano composition and a 2015 NAfME regional award winner. He is the 2017 winner of the Spectrum Symphony of New York Young Artist Concerto Competition and had his debut performance with the orchestra at the age of 13. He is a third-place winner of the Chappaqua Concerto Competition (TCO) in 2018, a 2019 First Place Winner of the Soloists of New England (SONE) competition, a 2019-20 MTNA state level first place winner for string performance and a 2020 and 2022 YoungArts Winner for classical performance (cello).
In his free time Noam enjoys composing and arranging music in many genres.
